Is your loved one’s headstone hard to read or covered in lichen or moss?

Gravestone Cleaning Service does not pressure wash gravestones. Using a pressure washer can peel away at the stone's surface and make it vulnerable to toxins and lichen. You should never use a pressure washer to clean a stone! Gravestone Cleaning Service does all the work by hand, the old-fashioned way. No harsh chemicals or toxic household cleaners will be used. Call me for a free estimate to get it done the right way, without harming the stone.

This is a list of things that should never be put on a stone:

  • Chalk
  • Flour
  • Vinegar
  • Paints
  • Cornmeal
  • Corn Starch
  • Soaps/Cleansers
  • Bleach
  • Shaving Cream
  • Detergents
  • Peroxide
  • Ammonia
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Baking Soda/Powder
  • Baby Powder
  • Ink Markers

As harmless as these things seem, they can and will do long term damage to a headstone.

Older marble stones are usually soft and can take 3-6 months or more before showing amazing results. Rain, sun and wind help in the cleaning process. Typically, older stones require multiple trips back to check on them, rinse off any loose debris, and then reapply the biological solution used to clean.
